Net Profit Margin

The share of revenue a company keeps as bottom-line profit.

Net profit margin is net income divided by revenue — the cents of profit left from each dollar of sales after all costs, interest, and taxes. A high, stable margin often signals pricing power and a durable competitive advantage, while thin or shrinking margins can flag intense competition. Market Lens feeds net margin into both its Moat score and its balance-sheet strength check.
