About
Institution-quality research shouldn't cost $300 a year.
Market Lens started from a simple frustration: the tools that actually help you judge a business — quality scoring, fair-value models, clean fundamentals — were locked behind expensive subscriptions or a Bloomberg terminal. Everything else just showed a price chart and called it research.
So the goal here is narrow and honest: take the homework a careful investor would do by hand and do it automatically, in plain English, for free. Run any stock through a Buffett-style quality score. Estimate what it's actually worth with a discounted-cash-flow model. See what Congress is trading, then check whether those companies are any good. Screen for potentially undervalued businesses. No paywall, no account.
What we believe
Show the reasoning, not a verdict. Market Lens markets transparency of analysis — "here's the case" — never prediction — "here's what will go up." A score is a starting point for your own thinking, not a signal to act.
Research, not advice. Every estimate is built on assumptions and public data that can be delayed or incomplete. Nothing on Market Lens is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. The decision is always yours.
Who builds it
Market Lens is built and maintained by Jason Meister. It began as a personal investing tool and is being opened up so other do-it-yourself investors can use the same analysis. You can read exactly how the scoring works on the methodology page.
